All age groups will need the following equipment:

• Baseball bat - Hopewell Bat Requirements
  • Choosing the right bat
  • Buying a t-ball bat
• Glove
• Batting helmet
• Bat bag - Used to transport baseball bat, glove and batting helmet. Although optional, highly recommended.
  • How to choose a bat bag
• Cleats - Nice to have, but not required for mini-hitters. Required for all other age groups.

The league provides a full uniform to all players including:

• Fitted custom Hopewell hat (Not fitted for mini-hitters due to size)
• Custom Hopewell jersey
• Baseball pants
• Matching baseball socks - For Coach Pitch Age Groups Only
• Matching baseball belt

Recommended safety equipment:

• Cup - Required to play catcher in kid pitch age groups. Recommended in all age groups.
• Chest protector
• Catchers gear - Provided by league for all age groups. Must be worn at all times when playing catcher position.
• Face-mask - Required when playing pitcher in 8U and below.

Practice equipment that can help at home:

• Baseballs
• Tee
• Hitting stick - Easy way to get a lot of swings in quickly.
• Wiffle, tennis balls and Safety Baseballs - Working on hitting and catching with new or younger players.
• Swing-away - Easy way to get a lot of swings in quickly and hit a real ball.
