Hopewell Baseball is committed to providing advanced baseball opportunities within the Recreation program. We have created different offerings by age group to meet the deveopmental needs of that group.

The 8U-12U programs are designed for players looking to play advanced level baseball, but not wanting to participate in an all year Travel program, or who are looking to push their skill-set to play at that level. 

The Sunday Select program is designed to provide advanced development opportunites for more advanced players to have focused practices with players of similar skillsets.

12U-8U

We have joined with Ocee Park, Wills Park and Roswell Youth Baseball to participate in the North Fulton Select League (NFSL). These teams are made up of 10 and 12 year old groups who participate in the NFSL during the Spring season. Tryouts will start with rec assessments and finish with a formal Select tryout of players invited based on the rec assessment. We typically play between 20-25 games starting in mid to late February and finishing with the playoffs by mid-May. Teams on average meet 3 to 4 times per week for games and practices. All players who are not selected are automatically enrolled in the Spring Recreational program. Hopewell will field 1 select team in 8U and 1 or more select teams in 9U-12U based on registration numbers.  This program will continue with Summer All-Star selections at the end of the recreation season and Fall Select play for players that wish to have an advanced baseball element to their Fall season.The goal is to release teams within one week of recreation assessments.

8U-5U Sunday Select

At these ages we have a Rec-Select program that is primarily focused on advanced practices. This means all players will play on a recreation team and also be part of a Select program. The Select program will practice once a week on Sundays.  Tryouts for these teams will be part of the recreation assessments. This program will conclude after Summer All-Star selection. 

The top 22-24 players from the assessment will be placed in the program. The goal is to release this program within one week of recreation assessments.

NOTE: We expect to consistently grow and adjust this offering until we find the best possible approach for Hopewell families in all age groups.
